i am going to keep this short, sweet and to the point. these little things are really cool and definitely do their job. the instructions are simple and easy to follow. i had to put both in a bit tight to hold a bun with my thin, fine hair but they lasted all day and through a work out! the double helix looking design is interesting and effective. simply created your bun and twist the spin pins into your bun. all you need to do is make sure you do not interlock the pins or it could be a bit of a mess:)

you probably guessed it. another great product courtesy of influenster! i love the not your mother's line as a whole but i have to admit when I first received this product and tried it out i HATED it :( it did everything to my hair I hate.. gave it zero volume, left it limp and left it hard. turns out less is more with this product and after i realized this i'm in love! if you just comb through it through your hair at any point in your curling routine-i've tried them all (remember just a little bit) your curl holds and frizz is at bay. i do think this can work well for girls with natural curl but mine just doesn't have enough:( for you lucky ladies just scrunch a little dollop of product through wet/damp hair &let those curls loose!

Kiss Ever PRO Lash Starter Kit

step aside ardell, you may have been replaced. these lashes are great. the glue... even better. decent lashes are a dime a dozen although these lashes are pretty great, but good lash glue is hard to come by. not only do these lashes look great on, are great quality and are super easy to apply the glue that comes in the kit is AMAZING. it has an application want that makes glue application super easy and the glue holds forever. i have officially found my new favorite lashes kits and its all thanks to influenster!!

NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact

once again, hats off to influenster and thank you again for sending me something great. not only is this product great for the price, it is highly comparable to other high end (and a lot more expensive) products i have. the most effective way that i can run through this product is by using a pros and cons chart so here we goooo :)

pros!!!
-color pay off is very nice
-texture of shadows is smooth as butta'
-the shadows stay vibrant on lid
-primer is surprisingly nice
-illuminator is gorgeous

cons :(
-I do not prefer palettes with creme products in same package
-I wish the black was darker
-although i do like the primer, shadows still crease after a few hours. to help this apply a powder on lids before applying primer!

always remember to tap brushes to avoid fall out &blend your little hearts out!!

at the price point of around 5 bucks you can't go wrong! i plan to check out more of their products! check them out!

Beauty Blogger VoxBox. Bath &Body Works Fall Mini Candle.

these amazing smelly goods can be summed up with a 4 little word.. ¬ the kind you would usually think... L-O-V-E. i, the self proclaimed candle whore, am in love (yes i said it again) with them. i have a rather large &probably unnecessary collection of them so when i received a mini in Cider Lane I was absolutely elated. i had wanted to try this particular scent out but sadly had recently sold out in my local B&BW. so Influenster is not only an amazing, heaven sent company for sending me my now 2nd box, they are mind readers. i am not in front of my products in my box but cider lane is described more or less as apple cider, caramel and cinnamon. I am the kind of person whom positively HATES really sweet scents. if it smells like vanilla or some sort of dessert (except apple pie-weird.) it repulses me. so when i first smelled the candle i was let down, initially all you can smell is carmel but as you let it burn notes of apple just radiate through the room and smells AMAZING. there ya go again b&bw &in this case slatkin &co, you never cease to amaze me. influenster, don't worry you're in this too. you brought this wonderful treat of a candle to a very happy and appreciative owner.

day in the life.

as promised, here's another post. Since I am temporarily in a hotel it is pretty difficult to do extensive posts like reviews, tutorials etc. for now I guess posts like these will have to do, at least y'all can get to know me better :) I'm sorry if the layout is a not ideal but mobile blogger isn't the most user friendly. anywhoooo, hotel life kinda sucks. I'm one of those people who love staying in a nice hotel for a short stay. I always pretend I'm some glamorous socialite named Genevieve or something, put on my nicest clothes and jewelry &walk around with my head held high. In the hotel that we are currently staying at I would look just plain ridiculous doing that. It's not like like this hotel has bedbugs and crack heads but its not the Ritz. Whatever it's life at least I have time to practice my makeup skills and paint my nails 48 times a day, jk... But seriously lol ;) here is my most recent look! Hello lovies!

It has been far too long &i feel like a negligent mother. Please don't send my blog to foster care! I'm here now with some updates! A lot of things have been happening in my life. A chain of unfortunate incidences has led to some very impacting life changes and I think it's all for the good! I am officially going to makeup artistry school and beginning a free lance business! How exciting right!? Living the dream :) I have also taken an interest in a few other things like sewing and candle making :) with all these good changes come a few bad-yet still not horrible. Steven &i are moving in with my parents in a tiny town in Nebraska.. Yay lol :) it shouldn't be too bad though. I'm only 20- so that's acceptable right!? I promise blogs are coming soon :) beauty and non. So continue my journey with me! I promise I won't neglect my lovely readers again:)

Recently I received a "VoxBox" from a company called Influenster. I was super super excited to get the box and it was full of goodies!! Sheer Cover Duo Concealer- a pot concealer with two different colors/sides. The two put together is the perfect color for me and is def the best I've used! It covers my under eye circles as well as any blemishes on my skin. It hasn't clogged my pores in the few weeks I've been using it and looks very natural! I LOVE this product!! It is super creamy and glides on to my skin. Sally Hansen Salon Effects Strips- OMG! I am so excited I got these because I never want to splurge on them. These little guys are soo cute and easy as heck to apply! They stay on forever too! Dr. Scholl's For Her Ball of Foot Cushions- These are so amazing for my girls who wear heels. I put them in my highest, most painful and in turn most beautiful heels and they made the biggest difference! They prevented my feet from hurting for hours! The one thing I was worried about was them slipping out of place but they stayed right there! Another great plus is that they are very discreet! I highly recommend these! My little pony from 90210 Fashion Star? &more :)

so as i sit here @ 10:50 pm on a Tuesday night I think, I'm bored... what should I do? Well nothing better than to talk to my beauties! Well this may be a long one! I have a lot to come out :) For those ladies who only read my blogs for beauty I will start off with that - but don't my girls who want a little more out of it worry, I have plenty more to say! :)

Let's start out with a possible fail. I totally hate to say it because the colors look gorgeous in pan but I picked up the Milani quad in 07 Wild Violets and the shadows are not up to par.  Given, I need to play with them a bit on the eye but my initial opinion is not great :( The color pay off isn't great and although it feels nice and velvety when you watch it, the shadows go on rather chalky. I will def need to give them a try and experiment with them a little, I'm hoping for the best!


Next on the beauty agenda, I have a nail of the day :) as promised here is my first nail of the day featuring a Nicki Minaj polish. Today I have on Fly :)

I adore this polish and have already gotten so many compliments on it! I think it will great on all skin types, under glitter and I would rock it all year long! 




Alright ladies! Now lets tackle the other million thoughts in my head! First let's discuss the best thing you can get a McDonald's.. Mighty Kids Meals- I prefer chicken nuggets. As we all know, I eat like a 5 year old and these are perfect for me! Not to mention- I somewhat have the mentality of a 5 year old so I LOVE the toy in it :)

While I munched happily on my kids meal and combed my my little pony's tail, I decided to catch up on some TV. Tonight's line up- Fashion Star, 90210 &Dance Moms :) We all know I'm a TV junkie so I'm pretty excited to watch a brand new fashion show!! 


FASHION STAR!! Oh em gee. New obsession! Not only is this show made for me- its fashion, duh! Its a fun, fresh, unique take on a fashion design show (don't worry Project Runway, I still love you too!).  What I love about Fashion Star - besides the music that makes me dance a little, is that the clothing shown is wearable and in stores the very next day! Its really exciting to see what designs get to picked to go into what store and which ones don't. I was pretty disappointed to see one of the designs not go into stores- I would've bought it in a heartbeat! But I don't wanna give too much away for those who haven't yet watched it! This is a new addition to my weekly veg out TV line up and I'm so excited for next weeks episode! 


PS Nicole Richie &Jessica Simpson look amazing! 




Before I leave this blog I can't leave without discussing Pretty Little Liars. This show is a ongoing addiction and last nights episode did not disappoint. I'm not gonna lie, there was one point where I wanted to cover my eyes! Who do you guys think A is? My pick is becoming less and less likely.

Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash

I was extremely excited to receive the product from SheSpeaks and Simple- thanks you much btw! but at the same time I was scared that the product would not live up to my expectations. For those who don't know what SheSpeaks is- its an online community where a whole array of things are discussed and reviewed. Periodically, the company chooses members to fill out a survey and is sent a product and in turn asked to give input. I'm not sure what goes into the selection of who is chosen- they do ask for blog/social networking information, but I am extremely glad to be one of them! To my amazement, this product is as great as I was hoping (&praying) for it to be! I tried this product out for a few days and experimented a little and I think I have found my new favorite facial wash. I even tried it without using a toner or a moisturizer and it stood well on its own (although I'd rather use a moisturizer in addition). I have oily/combo skin and this face wash responded very well to it . Initially, while your skin is still a bit damp I wasn't too impressed but as I let my fave dry a bit more I started to notice amazing results. My skin was soft and smooth and by the very next day the tone had improved and my blemishes were less noticeable. Just like all other skin care products, different people prefer different ones as everyone's skin is different but this face wash is for sure a keeper!

OPI's nicki minaj collection

let me just start this blog stating that I am officially in LOVE. i have all the colors from the collection, excluding the shatter and they have all moved to the top of my "nail polish I might die without" list. although I do not have individual swatches of each I do have nail of the day's for all but one so far so they will be posted soon. the quality of this polish is amazing but what is there to expect with OPI? all of them do require two coats but that's the norm for me anyways. the actual colors in the collection are superb, unique and to die for. Did it on em is a beautiful creamy limish, pastelly green color. Just like all the other colors, it is PERFECT for spring/summer but I have no shame rocking it in the colder months.  Fly is a dark teal cream polish. Is there anything else I need to say? Teal is a gorgeous color in general but the fact that this color was bottled is just genius.  Pink Friday might possibly be my favorite pink in my entire collection. A bit darker than a baby pink, its perfection in nail polish form. The color is not streaky and looks awesome after 2 coats. This polish is also a cream.  Metallic 4 Life Finally! Getting to the glitters! A silver hexagonal and circular glitter suspended in a black base. This polish easily stands alone, it is very opaque and gorgeous. I'm not usually the biggest fan of black based polishes but this one suckered me in! Save Me This polish leaves me speechless, no description or pictures can do it justice. If this polish isn't in your collection or if you haven't at least lain eyes on it then you are missing a piece of your soul possibly.  The polish is pink, blue, orange and green (I think) bar glitter surrounded by small silver glitter suspended in a clear base. Check it out, pretty please :)

Maybelline Color Tattoo Review.

Recently, after feeding into the YouTube hype on Maybelline Color Tattoos..I had to check them out myself. &just like every other product I'm dying to try..these little guys were SO HARD to find! I was able to get my hands on a few. &of course now that I am broke..the entire line of color are available everywhere I look. Typical. Well below are the colors I do have..as well as swatches &as you can see, they are amazing! The color pay off is magnificent, the texture is dreamy &they apply very nicely. Now I don't remember how much I actually paid for them..between $5 &$7 I'm sure but every penny was worth it. The only con is, which I would've bet my left pinky that this would be true was that they do not wear for 24 hours on me as they claim but with a primer underneath, I have found they do last FOREVERRRR. I don't even necessarily feel the need for a shadow over them. The color selection of these cream shadows is gorgeous as well. Everything from nice neutrals to amazing bright shades. Now that I am officially in love with these I might need to pick up the entire line.

Bad to the bronze: this shade is the first color I picked up and it is gorgeous. It's a a medium brownish/goldish with glitter and shimmer. Nice in the crease or as an all over color.

Too cool: I have read/watched reviews saying that these shadows can be a bit splotchy and this is the only shade I see a hint of that in. The color is amazing though. It is a gorgeous frosty white with a touch of glitter.

Pomegranate punk: my favorite! The color is very unique and gorgeous. It's a rusty, pinky red with a touch of glitter. I love it!

Audacious asphalt: Of course, it's gorgeous. A nice gun metal color with glitter and shimmer

Tough as taupe: Initially in the packaging this color looks a lot more brown than it actually is but I like it. this matte shade is a nice addition to all the shimmery colors.

one final note..

life would be incomplete without lunchables, string cheese &pop..preferably cherry-vanilla Coke or Mountain Dew &Starcrunch. Throw in a banana, some grapes or apple sauce &ill be one happy camper. Yes.. I realize I eat like a 5 year old.

well good news is..im not dead :)

but I was in the hospital...they are mean there :(

you see that monster bruise in the pic? from the IV..wahhh :'( the verdict? A suppressed immune system caused by strep, tonsillitis &bronchitis. bet you wish you were me huh? yep, knew it! anywaysssss...so much has happened! I got my own place:) pics soon to come! &i adopted a little boy..well a kitty :) his name is Ace but I like to fondly refer to him as crackhead :)

on to the beauty. I have reviews &swatches coming soon..but to tide everyone over..how about a slightly chipped nail of the day? Ignoring the guest appearance of OPI's DS Temptation..on my nails is Essie's Brooch the Subject.

It's a really nice nude. While we are on the topic of nail polish..I put myself on a ban. I am not allowing myself to buy anymore nail polish until I have used all the ones I own at least once. Sounds totally redic I know..what person has multiple nail polishes that have never been used? An addict is who.

 One final note. I have been IN LOVE with some candles &i must share the amazingness <---I'm pretty sure I just invented that word. These candles are constantly burning in my house &just make me happy :) so here ya go! :)
